[It had actually been a few days since he'd come back to Luceti. After his initial rage, he had just decided to stay out of the way. He didn't want to talk to anyone, didn't want to deal with anyone...

But that, of course, wasn't going to last forever. He couldn't get things he needed without going in public, which meant running into people he didn't want to run into.

Ion in a wheelchair, though...that was something he didn't expect to see. There was a moment of "was it really him?" But it was completely impossible to mistake Ion for someone else; because really. He was him, in a way. Brothers, a twisted idea for a family, whatever.

He was quiet, when he approached him though. Ion seemed to be minding his own business--it would be so easy to do. And the temptation was pretty much overwhelming. How could he pass this up, when the opportunity was right there, as if handed to him on a silver platter?

Hopefully he just won't get grounded this time. ~~YOLO!!~~

He creeps up behind Ion, bent on making it being a surprise, really. Sync could be quiet when he wanted to be; so hopefully he wouldn't be caught.

3...2...1--AND there he goes, tipping Ion out of his wheelchair in as swift of a move as possible. He laughs as he does so, mischief glinting in his eyes.

Okay, maybe he had kind of missed messing with Ion. Help the poor soul?]

((ooc: ion and sync will both be responding to this! characters can intervene right after Ion falls or while Sync is destroying the wheelchair (which will be happening as well). Just specify when!

edit: ALSO i didn't specify but Sync is in fact wearing a mask. So characters might not know immediately that he and Ion resemble each other.))

[Yes, yes she did. And it's only by Sync's arm getting into one of the heads, not all three, that he's probably going to be hurt, but not mortally wounded. Perona did tell her dog not to break him too badly...though it doesn't stop Cerberus from shaking him like a rag doll a few times. He'll only stop when his master tells him to, and Perona doesn't exactly feel inclined just yet. This is his punishment for picking on her friend.

Buuuut she'll glance Ion's way before making a "tch" sound and motioning with her finger for Cerberus to drop his plaything.]

...That'll do, Cerberus. Good boy.

[Sync watches warily as Jade steps in between Ion and himself. He wasn't about to let this guy get the best of him, either.]

You want me to do that, but I won't.

[The rigid spear is just a tad bit more alarming, to be honest.] And don't you think I've tried to stay away from you people? At least I did something interesting with my time this time.

[Sync shrugs a little bit, even though he may not be able to see it. He steps a closer, putting a hand on his hip.]

I saw a chance. I took it. Are you mad?

[For some reason, he just really wants to see Ion get mad for a change.]

What makes you think I just got here?

[He might be more clever than that, but he has his moments still ok. And besides, he's been here, so it's not like an immediate thing on arrival.]

I couldn't let a moment like that go by.

[Who knows. Being thrown into a volcano is a pretty traumatic thing, after all.]

Again I ask, what are you going to do about it? Do you really think that if you just ask nicely, I'll behave like a good little boy?

[That would be the safer option for everyone involved.]

Despite your behavior, I don't want to get into a fight with you. Leave now before it happens, and stop bullying sick people.

[He yelps when the dog grabs him and yanks him around. He tries to get out of his grasp, but while he was currently being used as a chew toy, well--it was rather hard.

So by the time he gets dropped, he's...understandably really sore.

He's going to try to get up now, though that might just be a slow process. And for once? He doesn't have anything to say off the top of his head. He's spending his energy doing other things right now.]

You can't very well make the argument that you're staying away from us when you're the one who approached me.

[You know. This time. It's not as though Ion can deny that he's reached out to Sync in the past -- but how could he not? Even after everything that's happened in Luceti, he still believes there's a lot they could learn from each other. They were both replicas, after all.]

I wasn't even aware you had returned to Luceti.

What does it matter to you whether or not I'm angry?

[He looks back up at Sync, his expression serious but still not apparently angry or upset.]

Do you want me to be angry at you? Would it be easier for you if I was?

[Well, that might have answered one of Sync's questions as to why Ion was in the wheelchair in the first place. Though hopefully that remains the extent of his knowledge. Ion didn't want to think about how Sync might abuse the knowledge of Ion's potentially impending death -- he wouldn't put it past him to try antagonizing the others with it, or worse, deciding to speed up the process for him... Sync was just too unpredictable.]

[Though still shaken, he manages to speak up.]

Please listen to her, Sync. Nothing good will come from you fighting here.

[tgfjhb okay, it's hard not to stare in horror as Cerberus shakes him around like that. If not for Sync attempting to stand immediately upon being dropped, he might have believed that he just witnessed a mauling.]

[He manages to pull his gaze away and look back at Perona.]

I know what he's done is terrible, but please, can't we help him? He should go to the clinic for treatment. And I know he won't go by himself.

[Given Sync's mask probably fell off when he got shaken up, it might be a little more clear to Perona why Ion's actually concerned for the guy who broke his chair. After all, despite the age difference in Luceti, they still look more or less identical.]

There's nothing interesting about your actions at all, Sync. All you've done is remind us how much of a nuisance you are.

[He's not willing to cut Sync any allowances. He could run off to hide with all the other God-Generals, but this bold attack was tempting Jade to just do off with him. Aside from knowing Ion would disapprove, he was primarily held back from knowing that death doesn't work right in this world. Sync would be back in a week.]

We're certainly aware of your return now, Sync. Now why don't you try even harder to stay away with us? You could earn yourself a gold star.

[He raises an eyebrow at that a little bit, but still doesn't budge. He's just going to cross his arms and still remain pretty darn stubborn.] One of you are going to have to make me move, if you want me gone so badly.

[It kind of makes him irritated that Ion is always so calm and collected. Even now, he's still fairly calm.

[He's not going to answer about himself, because he's not sure. Maybe? For everyone else, it was always so easy...and it was so impossible for him.]

[Literally he just was minding his own business and found Ion. But no one's going to believe him, so he isn't sure why he's going to try. Not that he cares, anyway.

He could off him -- he wouldn't care too much. Death was where he wanted to be, right?]

[OH, FOR THE LOVE OF--! Didn't she do enough just by letting the little shit live?! God, this is ridiculous...but fine. Muttering "soft" under her breath at Ion, she approaches the beat up boy, shoving Cerberus away as he snarls and licks the blood off his teeth and muzzle. He did well, but she agreed to not have him go too far. So she has to make him back off, give her some space.

Tugging out a roll of bandages from the zipped up pocket of her teddy's back (it's just become commonplace for her to carry some medical supplies after babysitting Zoro on Kuraigana) Perona intends to throw it at him and be off. She owes this whelp nothing, and gave him exactly what he deserved and then some. It's only when she catches a very brief glance of his face, turning back to Ion to reassess what she just saw, does she reach for Sync's side, where he's not been wounded. This is idiotic, but she can understand a little better now... Brothers, maybe? A really shitty brother.]

Don't fuss, or Cerby-chan will have your head next.

[Which means! She extends a hand to cast Halt on him, which should freeze him there safely for a short while.]

[He's just. Going to turn his head when he realizes that his mask slipped off, and reach for his mask. It's just a little bit beyond his grasp, and he's gritting his teeth against the pain in his arm.

Despite her warning him, he'll be trying to move himself away from her regardless.]

[Why would he want help from someone who just had their dog maul him anyway--]

...of course I get mad. Do you think I'm happy having my own mobility taken away from me? Happy, knowing the terrible things the malnosso have done to me and countless others?

[He sounds bitter. And why shouldn't he? The malnosso effectively handed him a death sentence -- an excruciatingly painful one, even with the medication he takes. The malnosso are the only people in the world Ion could say he truly hates. And while it didn't show in his expression, it surely carried in his voice.]

Not everyone shows their anger by lashing out like a child. It doesn't accomplish anything, and it won't make that anger go away. To be honest... I don't know how you put up with it.

[Being angry all the time... perhaps it's no wonder Sync hated his life so much.]

You don't seem too bothered by it to me.

[He still just. Doesn't really understand that much. At least bitterness was something.]

How I put up with it? It's not your business about how I put up with it!

[Spoilers: He doesn't. Hence why he's the way he is.]

[Did Sync really think Ion would have been in a wheelchair if he wasn't actually sick? Sure, he was always weak, but...]

[He's not sure what the outcome of a fight between these two would be, but he certainly doesn't want Mia to get hurt for his sake.]

Don't be so stubborn! [Ion actually raises his voice a bit, directing his gaze at Sync. For as much as Sync loathed it, Ion really did care about him to some degree -- though after everything that's happened between them, it's hard to say whether it's any different from how he might care for the well-being of a stranger.]

You won't be able to take care of the injury with just one arm. You should check to make sure it isn't broken. [Or at least dislocated -- that was quite the attack, after all.]

Just like it's none of your business as to whether or not I'm angry, yes?

[Though Sync may always have the upper-hand in terms of physical strength, in a situation like this, his usual arguments seem to be falling a little flat. How can he argue that it's none of Ion's business when he's the one who came here and made it his business? Perhaps any other day, Sync's argument would be the most fair, but Ion wouldn't have approached him while still bound in a wheelchair.]

[If Jade tried to kill Sync, Ion would certainly disapprove. Not only for Sync's sake, but for Jade's as well -- it was all too easy to make a bad name for yourself in a village this size. With Sync newly returned, who's to say the majority would take Jade's side if it ever came in to question that he murdered Sync on the street? If anything, the fact that Sync shares a face with both Ion and Florian would likely put himself in an advantage, if he chose to take that route.]

What are you trying to gain from this, Sync? You won't lose anything if you walk away right now.

You might nod. [Jade corrected.] But certainly, any degree of trutworthiness is already long gone.
