[Guess who's actually doing a network post on his own free will, for once? That's right. This kid. But ever since he'd come back from his kidnapping, he'd been feeling a little bit...off. It wasn't something he could really place, though. Not yet.
He needed a distraction. One that isn't trying to pick a physical fight with people because that never seemed to end well here. If he's already not feeling on the top of his game it's going to end even worse than usual.]
What's the point of friendships?
[There's a bit of a pause, before he tacks on:]
Don't give me that warm and fuzzy stuff, either. I don't want to hear it.
[Well, that was short and sweet enough. He's just. Going to end it here.]

Support. Life isn't easy and we don't always have a good plan of action. Friends can help us - all of us - stay calm in a crisis.

Friends are the people you turn to when you're feeling down. You can trust them with your secrets and when you wanna go have some fun, they're the ones you hang out with, ya know. They can pull you through tough times and... In return, you pull them through tough times. Friends are closer to you than other people; that's what makes them special.
But if you don't wanna hear about warm and fuzzy stuff, you shouldn't be asking about friendships. If a friendship is cold and rugged like a shark's fin, it isn't much of a friendship at all.

Um, having friends is really important. When there's something you can't do by yourself a friend will be there to help you. Sometimes even if you don't ask for help. And a friend will believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself. Friends can help teach you, and make you stronger both inside and out. I've become a lot stronger since I've made friends.

But what you've heard already is definitely what friendship's about - being able to rely on your friends when you really need it, even if you don't exactly want it. And boy, does it sound like you don't want it. But that's the beauty of having friends they look out for your best interests, even if you yourself don't see it right away. They're the ones that slap the much needed sense into you, that pick you up when you're down or shove you over when you're just floating on your overstuffed head.
Pretty much, your friends are like a voice of reason when you seriously need one, and a savior when you need that, too. And yeah, they make up for your weaknesses, too, like the other people've said. And if you try n' spout that lame "oh, but shouldn't you be able to do that on your own" junk you've been saying before, just think about what makes a weakness a weakness, Sunshine. They're usually not the easiest things to overcome on your own. Heck, sometimes you can't do it on your own and that's when you gotta swallow whatever's flown down your throat and ask for their help!
Best part of that, though? Is they do it even without you asking. Then don't ask for anything in return. No ulterior motives, just them being there for you.
[Voice]
That's a lie. Everyone has ulterior motives for everything they do. Maybe you're just too blind to see it.

Before I explain, here's a question. What's the point of being a loner?

Too scared of those "warm and fuzzy" feelings?
